The Oak Ridger reported yesterday that a Montana woman charged in the death of Fred Childress on July 24th has pleaded not guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter.

“A Montana woman has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter in the July death of Oak Ridge businessman and community leader Fred Childress, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. The woman, 27-year-old Ronda Renee Bird of Missoula, Mont., was allegedly driving the Ford Escape SUV that crossed the center line on a sharp curve and hit Childress’ BMW motorcycle on a mountain road near East Glacier Park, reported The Missoulian, a daily newspaper.”
